James Wesley makes Opry debut

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 – James Wesley, who has a single Real on the charts, makes his Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday.

"I can't express how thrilled I am these days," said Wesley. "I have dreamed all of my life to hear my music on the radio, to have a music video airing on TV and to perform on the legendary stage of the Grand Ole Opry. I am so thankful and privileged to have the chance to live out my dream. This is just a wonderful feeling."

Wesley will perform Real at the Opry.

He also shot a video for the song, directed by Chris Hicky from Revolution Pictures, currently being aired on GAC, CMT Pure and CMT.com. In the video, real people were cast for the roles of the soldier, mother, farmer and elderly couple. Wesley's two children (Braden age 9 and Emily age 7) had cameos in Wesley's video debut.

The song, written by Jimmy Melton and Neal Coty, is climbing up country radio charts at 29 on the Billboard charts and 31 on Mediabase. Wesley's Broken Bow album debut will hit stores nationwide first quarter of 2011.
