Aldean parties on with new CD sales

Wednesday, November 10, 2010 – Jason Aldean's four studio CD, "My Kinda Party," sold 193,000 in its first week, making it the highest album debut of last week and the biggest first week debut by a male vocalist in more than three years. Kenny Chesney set the previous high mark in September 2007 with "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates."

"I can't say enough about my fans and this incredible ride we are all taking together. Don't count out the kids who live out in the sticks, drive pickup trucks, wear John Deere hats and like their country music on the rockin' side," said Aldean.

"There are a whole lot of us," said Aldean. "It's always exciting to put out new music and see what the reaction will be. It's been a killer week, and now I'm focused on performing on the CMAs with Kelly Clarkson tonight. It'll be special and like nothing I've ever done on TV before."

There's no confusion it's a guy in the "Camouflage Hat," for example. Also, nothing is said or done without also washing it down with alcohol. The opener,"Tattoos and Tequila," breaks it down into tattoos to remember, and tequila to forget. Within its booze for every ...
CD review - Rearview Town If you liked Jason Aldean's three previous number one albums, you'll like "Rearview Town." He sticks to the winning formula that has brought him past success. The 15 tracks are mainly juiced up, muscular numbers with scorching guitar. Ironically, amid the torrid tempos and high volume that dominate the collection, the ballads are the standouts, especially with the duet with the Miranda Lambert on "Drowns The Whiskey." Instead of whiskey drowning a memory, the inverse ...
