Levon Helm hospitalized for one week
Tuesday, December 21, 2010 – Levon Helm returned home last Thursday after nearly a week-long hospital stay, his label said today.
Helm caught a "slight cold," which was complicated by his Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease condition. "As a precautionary measure, he was admitted into the hospital," the statement said. "All tests were clear. He's home and doing great."
This past Saturday, he played the entire set at beloved Ramble in New York with Steve Jordan sitting next to him on a second drum kit.
In 2011, Helm is expected to release a live CD, "Ramble at the Ryman."
