George Jones hospitalized
Thursday, January 6, 2011 – George Jones is slated to be released from a Nashville hospital by Friday after being admitted Wednesday following a physical. It was not clear why he was hospitalized.
"On Wednesday, January 5th 2011, George Jones underwent an annual routine health checkup. Although Mr. Jones is staying overnight in a Nashville hospital, he is resting and will be released tomorrow," Jones' web site in a posting today (Thursday).
"I just decided I didn't want to drive back to Franklin in this cold weather. So I guess I'll stay here overnight and go home tomorrow," Jones joked.
