"Country Strong" receives one Oscar nominatiion

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 – "Country Strong" received one Oscar nomination on Tuesday - for original song.

Coming Home, written by Tom Douglas, Troy Verges and Hillary Lindsey, was one of four songs nominated for Achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song). In the movie, star Gwyneth Paltrow sings the song.

Other nominees were:
I See the Light from "Tangled," Music by Alan Menken Lyric by Glenn Slater
I If I Rise from 127 Hours Music by A.R. Rahman Lyric by Dido and Rollo Armstrong
I We Belong Together from Toy Story 3 Music and Lyric by Randy Newman

The awards will be held Feb. 27.
