Urban picks Owen to open shows

Wednesday, February 9, 2011 – Jake Owen will be an opening act on Keith Urban's "Get Closer 2011 World Tour," beginning in mid June. Owen, who will perform on the U.S. leg of the tour, has enjoyed hits with Don't Think I Can't Love You and Eight Second Ride.

Owen said, "I'm honored to join Keith on his tour. Keith and his band are some of the greatest entertainers in the world, and I'm looking forward to getting out there and watching him play every night. This is going to be truly an amazing summer."

The "Get Closer 2011 World Tour" will open in Biloxi, Miss. on June 16. The tour comes in support of Urban's sixth studio CD, "Get Closer," released in November

Owen is currently in the studio recording his third album, due for release later this year. \
