Carrie Underwood goes number one yet again

Wednesday, April 11, 2007 – Carrie Underwood is atop the country airplay charts once again this week as her fourth single, "Wasted," follows the number one successes of "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "Before He Cheats." According to Underwood's label, the statistic incorporates number one country airplay rankings from both BDS/R&R/Billboard and/or Mediabase/Country Aircheck.

With "Wasted," Underwood becomes the first female country artist in the monitored era to achieve four number one singles from her debut album. She joins her Arista Nashville labelmates Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn as the three most recent artists in country music to enjoy this feat on their first album. The singles are all from Underwood's 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville debut, "Some Hearts," now certified 5-times platinum.

The string of great fortune turned sharply in 2017, when Underwood began the unfathomable experience of three consecutive lost pregnancies. This was atop a frightening fall at her home that ended with her face in nearly 50 stitches. Sharing these moments with her fans makes the beamingly-beautiful singer ...
