Paltrow signs record deal

Tuesday, March 8, 2011 – Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly has signed a record deal with Atlantic Records for $900,000.

The news was reported on several country web sites. Paltrow, who starred in the movie "Country Strong," has been pushing the musical side of her performing career lately. She appeared on the Grammys with Cee Lo Green, singing Forget You. She also has been on the hit TV show "Glee." Paltrow sang several songs on the "Country Strong" soundtrack, including the title track, a traditional country song. Me and Tennessee, a song with Tim McGraw, was just released as a new single to country radio.

The Atlantic roster includes country acts Zac Brown Band and Brett Eldredge along with Kid Rock, B.o.B. and Kid Rock.

Paltrow is the wife of Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay.
