Bryan certifiably gold
Monday, June 27, 2011 – Luke Bryan's current single, Country Girl (Shake It For Me), was certified Gold by the RIAA. The up-tempo Top 10 hit is the lead single off Bryan's "Tailgates and Tanlines" album due out on Aug. 9.
Co-written with Dallas Davidson, the song is Bryan's third Gold-certified single. The song debuted at number 1 in U.S. country digital singles sales with 105,498 downloads and is the fastest rising single of his career. It follows recent three back-to-back number one singles Do I, Rain Is A Good Thing and Someone Else Calling You Baby, from his Gold-certified album "Doin' My Thing."
Bryan is on tour this summer with Tim McGraw's "Emotional Traffic Tour," headline his own tour - "CMT ON TOUR: Luke Bryan Tailgates & Tanlines" launching this fall.
