Sixth person dies in Sugarland concert tragedy
Friday, August 19, 2011 – A sixth person died today in the wake of last Saturday's tragedy at the Sugarland concert.
Jennifer Haskell, 22, a senior at Ball State University, died Friday morning at an Indianapolis hospital.
Haskell and five others were victims of a stage collapse just before Sugarland was slated to play at the Indiana State Fair. A strong wind gust knocked over the stage, which collapsed towards the crowd. About 50 people were injured by the crash.
Sugarland resumed touring last night in Albuquerque, N.M. The duo along with its crew of about 80 people, came on stage to say a few words about the tragedy and sang one song.
