Wednesday, August 31, 2011 – Twitter followers of Jake Owen, beware. That voice on the other end of the line just may be calling with his thanks for the purchase of his new disc "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."

Owen released his third studio album on Monday and currently it holds the number 1 position on iTunes' Country Albums chart. The digital single has received over 850,000 downloads to date. The title track is the lead single and is second this week on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and Country Aircheck.

As for Twitter, yesterday, Owen sent this Tweet: "Ok...First 10 peeps to respond that bought my record, I'll follow you. You can send me your phone #. I wanna call you and see what songs u dig."

Last night, Owen celebrated his album release by performing for a sold-out crowd at The Headliner club in Neptune, N.J. and today, he is in New York City promoting the new album. Tomorrow night, Owen will be part of Access Hollywood's "Country Hunks" feature, check your local listings.

On Sept. 6, Owen and The Band Perry and will announce the final nominees in five CMA Awards categories live from the "Good Morning America" studios in New York on ABC. The announcement will air in the 8:30 AM/ET half-hour segment of the morning news program. During the broadcast, Owen will perform his hit single.
