Jason Aldean plans Concert for The Cure
"Last year, all the fans were really supportive of the show and came to the Wildhorse ready to party," says Aldean. "The band and I had as much fun as they did, so there was no question we wanted to do this again. It's a great time for a great cause."
Breast cancer touched Aldean personally when a close family friend passed away from the disease at 26. Since then, Aldean has been committed to lending his celebrity in the search for a cure. He has also partnered with Komen to support their activities during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month and last year appeared in public service campaigns helping raise awareness for the organization.
"They say that one in nine women are diagnosed with breast cancer, and that number is really frightening to me," explains Aldean. "I have a running joke going about how I'm outnumbered by all the women in my life, but for those women, I take this seriously."
