Jones isn't ready for rocking chair

Thursday, October 27, 2011 – George Jones may be 80, but he's not ready for the rocking chair. He announced a series of 2012 dates on Thursday.

Jones has 35 shows scheduled to date throughout the U.S. and Canada from now through November 2012.

Jones said, "I'm always excited to get back out on the road and we're working up new shows and new songs. I'm feelin' great and givin' the road hell."

Jones has no recording plans.
