Miranda Lambert tops the country chart with "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend"
Wednesday, May 9, 2007 – Miranda Lambert will top the Billboard country album chart when it is out Thursday for the second consecutive time with "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." The album sold 53,000 units, according to Billboard.com. Her 2005, "Kerosene," also topped the country chart. The new release is the sixth best selling album in the U.S. for all genres.
Lambert took over for Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts" disc, which fell to 3rd on the country chart and 10th overall.
Blake Shelton's debuted in second on the country chart with his fourth release, "Pure BS," selling 48,000 units, good for 8th overall.
