Chesney tour sells 275K tickets

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 – Kenny Chesney's 2012 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour with Tim McGraw is already breaking records. By the end of last Saturday, Chesney sold more tickets for the first eight available shows than on any of his previous initial on-sales. Nearly 275,000 tickets were sold for the tour with eight more shows on sale this weekend.

Shows rapidly approaching sell-outs include Dallas, Foxboro, Mass. and Chicago, where Chesney had his strongest initial on-sale to date. With tickets for 12 shows still set to go on-sale, Chesne is looking at another one-million ticket summer after reaching that milestone for his last eight consecutive tours.

The 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour will be the first time in 10 years that Chesney and McGraw have hit the road together. Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen also will be on the tour.
