Friday, December 9, 2011 – Taylor Swift was the number 1 country artist of 2011, Billboard announced today.

Swift enjoyed a big year with many hit singles and the Speak Now tour, which concluded last month.

The rankings are based on album sales, airplay, track download sales, touring revenue, ringtone sales ..and more. The full chart and the other 2011 year-end charts, which include Top Artist, Top Title, Top Male, Top Female and Top Duo/Group are at Billboard's web site.
