Lady Antebellum dances away

Monday, December 12, 2011 – Lady Antebellum will release Dancin' Away With My Heart from "Own the Night" to country radio for airplay today.

"This song is definitely about looking back on a really special night that you shared with someone, but I also think there's a timelessness about it," said Hillary Scott. "No matter how long it's been or what the other person is doing now, you will always imagine them to be '18 and beautiful and dancin' away with my heart'...that mental picture never changes because that night was magical. I love how romantic that is."

The track reunites Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott with writer Josh Kear, who the trio wrote 2011's Grammy Song of the Year Need You Now with previously.

The trio will perform their number one hit We Owned the Night this Wednesday on Good Morning America before heading to Live! with Kelly on Thursday for a performance of the new single.

The trio will also be honored as one of CMT's five Artists of the Year tomorrow at 9 a.m. eastern. Lady A will round out the week with the last weekend of the fall leg of their headlining tour, which has been extended into next year as the Own the Night 2012 World Tour with Darius Rucker and special guest Thompson Square.

CD review - Heart Break Lady Antebellum may cause you to throw out many of your country music principles. They don't sing and play traditional country music, for starters. They're not cool like more rocking Americana artists. In fact, they're huge mainstream country stars. So, why are some of us still suckers for their sound? And why does the new "Heart Break" sound so good on the ears? Well, it's simple, but complicated. Hillary Scott is simply a wonderfully sincere singer. ...

CD review - 747 Six albums into its career, Lady Antebellum pretty much has the formula down pat. Either Hillary Scott or long and lanky Charles Kelley assumes lead vocals with Dave Haywood also providing vocals plus guitars and mandolin in a bunch of songs easy on the ears with a story often involving a lust for love. The typical song ("Lie With Me," for example) starts with Kelly or Scott taking a stanza, followed by the other with both then tackling the chorus together. This has worked quite well ...
