Aldean starts '12 tour

Monday, January 23, 2012 – Jason Aldean kicked off the 2012 leg of his My Kinda Party tour with a sold-out first run in Greenville, S.C., Fayetteville, N.C. and Orlando this weekend.

Each of those shows set new attendance records for the arenas. Fellow Georgia natives Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina joined Aldean, with DeeJay Silver returning to the tour to keep the party going between sets with his signature rock and country mixes.

The new production features a 360-degree configuration that allows fans who couldn't get tickets before to purchase a view from the rear of the stage. The tour is an extension of the record-breaking 2011 leg that sold 1 million tickets across the country last year.

"I'm not gonna lie...its a big challenge to try and entertain people who are on all sides of you. I have to work a lot harder, and I come off the stage absolutely drenched. The opening weekend was unbelievable, and I had a blast pulling Luke and Lauren up on stage during different parts of the show. It's fun to keep the fans guessing and surprised. Sometimes, I even get surprised...we had a few stage jumpers, so that kept it interesting for all of us. The fans were out of their minds this weekend."

Aldean is releasing Fly Over States to radio this week as the fifth single from "My Kinda Party."

Jason Aldean's 10th studio album "Georgia "initially seems like yeoman's effort. As the second half of a double album that follows last year's "Macon," the collection boasts 30 songs; 20 are new. It is a more than a respectable length for a single album. The remainder of the effort is padded with live tracks. The obvious question is why so long? In Adean's case, he said he has always leaned toward having more songs than less. Upon a sit down listen you get ...

CD review - 9 Hollywood may be pushing a broadminded agenda where there are more genders than one can even count, but in Jason Aldean's world, there are only two: tough guys, and the women that love them. There's no confusion it's a guy in the "Camouflage Hat," for example. Also, nothing is said or done without also washing it down with alcohol. The opener,"Tattoos and Tequila," breaks it down into tattoos to remember, and tequila to forget. Within its booze for every ...
CD review - Rearview Town If you liked Jason Aldean's three previous number one albums, you'll like "Rearview Town." He sticks to the winning formula that has brought him past success. The 15 tracks are mainly juiced up, muscular numbers with scorching guitar. Ironically, amid the torrid tempos and high volume that dominate the collection, the ballads are the standouts, especially with the duet with the Miranda Lambert on "Drowns The Whiskey." Instead of whiskey drowning a memory, the inverse ...
