Johnny Cash Birthday Tribute coming Sunday
Friday, February 24, 2012 – The Johnny Cash Birthday Tribute will be held this Sunday at the Dyess (Ark.) Community Center.
The event, hosted by Arkansas State University, will begin at 2 p.m. to launch the restoration of the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home. The Birthday Tribute will feature Cash family members singing and offering personal tributes and reminiscences, to kick off the restoration of the residence of Ray and Carrie Cash from 1935 until 1954. The event is free and open to the public.
