Bronchitis fells Strait gig
Monday, February 27, 2012 – Severe bronchitis on Saturday caused George Strait to cut short his concert in Kansas City, Mo. after only two songs.
Strait rescheduled his tour stop for Saturday, March 3.
On Saturday, After Martina McBride performed, Strait could not continue after two songs. Strait and his management company "wrestled with the issue prior to the show and had a backup plan ready in case the inevitable happened," his web site said.
When Strait "determined he could not continue, his disappointed was obvious." He immediately announced that the complete show, including Martina McBride, would return on March 3. Strait announced that all tickets for the show would be honored at the performance.
