Chesney appears at Richie, PLAN!T shows
Monday, March 12, 2012 – Kenny Chesney will appear at ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert,' airing on April 13, and at a benefit concert on behalf of the disaster preparedness non-profit PLAN!T NOW on May 26
The Richie concert, taped at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, highlights songs from Richie's upcoming country duets album 'Tuskegee,' on which Chesney appears.
The PLAN!T NOW event, at Atlantis on the Bahamas' Paradise Island, is part of the 11th Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, co-hosted by Morgan Freeman. Chesney is a long-time supporter of PLAN!T NOW, which has granted more than $100,000 in scholarships to students impacted by severe weather events.
Chesney is gearing up for the 20-stadium 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour, with Tim McGraw, which has sold more than 600,000 tickets. Chesneys new album is out June 19th (BNA).
