The Civil Wars postpone dates

– The Civil Wars postponed European dates for late March and early April due to illness.
The shows were slated for March 26 through April 4. A serious illness in the band's immediate family was cited, but exact details were not provided.
The Civil Wars is Joy Williams and John Paul White, who won two Grammys last month with a soulful country/roots sound.
The trip to Europe is their first tour overseas. They are currently in England and Scotland with a show tonight in Manchester. The next seven shows are sold out.
in Germany, Belgium, Frances, The Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Istanbul.
New dates will be announced next week.

Upon first listen, The Civil Wars comes off like a more Southern version of She & Him. While She & Him draws upon classic pop elements, The Civil Wars is much more country and folk focused. Charlie Peacock produced "Barton Hollow," giving it a simple, sparse acoustic sound; one that is very different from the man's usual solo music or other productions (early Switchfoot albums, which are all comprised of sharp electric guitar rock, and his own solo work veers closer to blue eyed soul). ...
