Aldean takes Single of the Year ACM award
Sunday, April 1, 2012 – Jason Aldean was award Single of the Year at the ACMs on Sunday for Don't You Wanna Stay with Kelly Clarkson.
Aldean told the crowd that when he was in the studio with producer Michael Knox, he thought a female voice was needed. Clarkson was the first person he thought of. "I'm really glad I did because she came and made a great song and took it to a new place," he said.
Others nominated were Eli Young Band's Crazy Girl, Toby Keith's Red Solo Cup, Young's Tomorrow and Kenny Chesney's and Grace Potter's You and Tequila.

Jason Aldean's 10th studio album "Georgia "initially seems like yeoman's effort. As the second half of a double album that follows last year's "Macon," the collection boasts 30 songs; 20 are new. It is a more than a respectable length for a single album. The remainder of the effort is padded with live tracks. The obvious question is why so long?
