Chesney, McGraw duet, "Rockstar," sets record debut

Monday, April 9, 2012 – Kenny Chesney's duet with Tim McGraw, Feel Like a Rock Star, debuted at 13 days after its premiere at the Academy of Country Music Awards, making it Chesney's highest debut ever on Billboard's Country Songs chart.

Chesney's highest Billboard debuts were Don't Blink (16) in 2007 and The Boys of Fall (17) in 2010.

"This song was such a blast to record, and I'm thrilled at the response it's already received," Chesney said. "Going on the road with Tim this summer is just going to be one long party, and we can't wait to get started in June."

Feel Like a Rock Star is the first single from Chesney's 13th studio album, "Welcome To The Fishbowl," due June 19 on BNA. People can pre-order the album and receive a free download of Feel Like a Rock Star.

Chesney will showcase songs from "Welcome To The Fishbowl" this summer on the 20-stadium 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour, with Chesney and McGraw. The tour also features Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen.

CD review - Songs for the Saints Kenny Chesney's "Song for the Saints" is a step in the right direction for the popular country star. Inspired by the Hurricane Irma disaster, which hit Chesney personally as it destroyed a house he owned in the U.S. Virgin Islands, these songs are more serious and heartfelt than typical Chesney music. Best of all is "Love for Love City," a reggae duet with Ziggy Marley incorporating steel drums into an inviting island mix. It's followed by a cover of Lord ...
