Clear Channel promotes new Underwood album

– Clear Channel Media will promote Carrie Underwood's fourth album, "Blown Away," out May 1, in a two-week-long on-air and online effort starting today.
The promotion will also feature a special performance by Underwood for iHeartRadio Live and a Clear Channel entertainment production at the iHeartRadio Theater.
The campaign will include a series of on-air spots created by Clear Channel, which will run across its network of country stations nationwide and their online station streams, featuring audio clips from an exclusive interview with Underwood. As part of the program, one winner and a guest will receive a trip to the Bayou Country Superfest to meet Underwood and see her perform, courtesy of Arista Nashville. On April 30, Underwood will join "Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show" for a live, in-studio interview on Z100. Other elements of the campaign will include a custom content portal featuring the extended interview with Underwood and a banner ad campaign, driving listeners to purchase her latest album on iTunes. Fans can also check out Underwood's artist-seeded station, which will be showcased on the homepage of iHeartRadio.com, Clear Channel's industry leading digital music service.
Underwood will perform to a group of Clear Channel listeners songs from "Blown Away" as well as other hit singles at an exclusive, private show at the iHeartRadio. The show will also stream live for fans at iHeartRadio.com.

Carrie Underwood's gospel music album may not be traditional in the sense that she sings these songs the same way she heard them as a child growing up. However, on the traditional/modern country music spectrum, this album leans closer to traditional country music than just about anything Underwood's recorded.
