Bentley announces contest

Monday, August 20, 2012 – Dierks Bentley is looking for his fans' best Country & Cold Cans themed photos.

Beginning today, fans who post images to Instagram with the hashtag #ColdCans are eligible to win one of five $250 Visa gift cards. A winner will be chosen every Friday over the next five weeks and all photos with the #ColdCans hashtag will also be featured on Dierks.com/instagram.

"I remember being young and barely being able to scrape up enough money from the tip jar to put gas in my truck and cold beer in my fridge, so I thought the prize for this was pretty perfect. I don't know anyone who couldn't use extra cash," said Bentley. "I love seeing the photos that fans post online, so this will be a little incentive to keep 'em coming."

Fans can follow Bentley (DierksBentleyOfficial) on Instagram as he prepares for the release of his Country & Cold Cans EP tomorrow on iTunes and begins the Country and Cold Cans Tour: Back to College Tour tonight at the University of Georgia. The tour will also get tailgating season started at The University of South Carolina on Aug. 21 and Ole Miss on Wednesday on Aug. 22.

CD review - Riser Change was in store for Dierks Bentley when it came to recording his seventh album, "Riser." On the personal front, he lost his father and added to his family, clearly affecting the subject matter of his latest. On the musical front, he traded long-time producer Brett Beavers, producer of every disc except "Up on the Ridge," for Ross Copperman, who has enjoyed more success as a writer, including several previous tracks for Bentley. Bentley embraces current trends in country ...
