Lynch fixes her Compass

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 – Two-time IBMA vocalist of the year bluegrass all-star Claire Lynch signed with Compass Records.

Lynch will release her as yet untitled Compass debut in early 2013 and will commence recording in the fall with her band: guitarist Matt Wingate, bassist Mark Schatz and Bryan McDowell on mandolin, along with a hand-picked selection of special guests.

Lynch has earned two International Bluegrass Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year awards and, during her work with the Front Porch String Band, earned two Grammy award nominations. She has recorded and performed with Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless, Ralph Stanley, Alison Brown and Kathy Mattea. As a songwriter, her original songs have been recorded by Loveless, Mattea, The Seldom Scene, Cherryholmes, The Whites and Stephanie Davis.
