Mumford & Sons top charts, LBT leads country chart

Wednesday, October 3, 2012 – The folky/rootsy Mumford & Sons will have the best selling disc in the U.S. by far with "Babel" when the charts are out on Thursday. The disc sold 600,000 units, the biggest debut this year.

Little Big Town will lead the country charts - Mumford & Sons is not on that chart - with "Tornado," which is also the ninth best selling CD in the U.S. The disc sold 34,000 units, down 33 percent.

Taylor Swift continued leading the Digital Songs chart with Begin Again with 299,000 downloads. The song is the latest preview single from Swift's upcoming "Red" disc. The song dropped Oct. 2.
