Lambert wins second ACM honor
Sunday, April 7, 2013 – Miranda Lambert won her second ACM Award of the night for Single Record of the Year for Over You.
"Two's better than one," Lambert said. "I always bawl, so I was trying to hold it together. As a songwriter, having a song and your lyrics being recognized by your peers is about as good as it gets...Thank you for accepting me as a songwriter and not just a singer." Lambert looked she was about to cry as her eyes welled up.
Lambert took the honor over Little Big Town's Pontoon, Eli Young Band's Even If It Breaks Your Heart, Hunter Hayes' Wanted and Eric Church's Springsteen.
