Jason Aldean hits the top of the video chart

Monday, June 25, 2007 – Four weeks after Jason Aldean hit number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart with sophomore effort "Relentless," his lead single, "Johnny Cash," becomes his fourth consecutive Top 10 single and his fourth consecutive number 1 video on CMT.

"If I were in Vegas right now, I wouldn't have to think too hard about what number to bet on," joked Aldean. "In all seriousness though, I am just really thankful to have had some success over the last few years and really appreciative of all my supporters at radio and all my fans who have helped me do it."

Aldean goes to Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 27 to perform "Johnny Cash" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He will continue on to Meridian, Miss., Houston and Baton Rouge, La. to headline shows before rejoining Rascal Flatts in July to kick off their "Still Feels Good" tour through the end of the year.

Ironically, amid the torrid tempos and high volume that dominate the collection, the ballads are the standouts, especially with the duet with the Miranda Lambert on "Drowns The Whiskey." Instead of whiskey drowning a memory, the inverse ...
