Smith announces Opry debut
Monday, May 20, 2013 – RCA Nashville singer/songwriter Joanna Smith will have a life-long dream come true when she makes her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 15.
"Playing the Opry is the biggest honor I can imagine," said Smith. "I can remember watching it on my great grandmother's TV and dreaming of the experience. It's the most hallowed stage in country music, and I'm truly humbled and excited."
Smith, who has released one three-song EP in 2011 and 5 singles, just released Girls Are Crazy. Smith co-wrote and co-produced the song.
The Georgia native has been on the road opening dates for Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on their Locked and Reloaded tour. "To get to open for them is just a huge honor," Smith said. "To me Miranda is the ringleader of a good time for us girls."
The song is posted on Smith's web site.
