CMA announces nominees

Tuesday, September 10, 2013 – Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Taylor Swift will vie for the CMA Entertainer of the Year, it was announced today.

Five categories were announced on Good Morning America with the rest to come later this morning.

Nominees for Duo of the Year were Big & Rich, Florida Georgia Line, Love & Theft, Sugarland, The Civil Wars and Thompson Square.

Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Swift and Carrie Underwood were nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.

On the male side, Aldean, Bryan, Eric Church, Shelton and Keith Urban received nominations.

New Artist nominees were Lee Brice, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Kip Moore and Musgraves.

The CMAs will be held on Nov. 6 in Nashville.
