Shelton, Musgraves Lambert score CMA nominations

Tuesday, September 10, 2013 – The nominations are complete for the Country Music Association awards with Blake Shelton, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert and Darius Rucker receiving numerous nominations in the Song, Single, Album and Video categories.

Song of the Year:
Drive Your Truck by Lee Brice; Mama's Broken Heart by Miranda Lambert; Merry Go Round by Kacey Musgraves; Pontoon by Little Big Town; and Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.

Single of the Year:
Cruise by Florida Georgia Line; Highway Don't Care by Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban; Mama's Broken Heart by Miranda Lambert, Merry Go Round by Kacey Musgraves and Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.

Vocal Group:
Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band

The Musician of the Year category is exactly the same as 2012 with Sam Bush (mandolin), who was nominated in the category for the first time in 2011; along with Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Huff (guitar); Brent Mason (guitar); and the current title holder Mac McAnally (guitar).

The 47th CMAs will be held Nov. 6 in Nashville.
