Stapleton wants your beard (in a photo anyway)

Monday, September 23, 2013 – Chris Stapleton is calling on his fans to submit photos of their facial hair via social media for the chance to win a place on his guest list at one of his shows, beginning with Joe's Bar in Chicago on Sept. 27.

The ongoing campaign, "Get Cleared With Your Beard," launched today and encourages fans to get creative with their submissions.

"It's funny, I get a lot of questions right off the bat from fans about my beard, which always makes for a great conversation starter," said Stapleton, who is known for his songwriting and being a member of driving bluegrass band The SteelDrivers. "We just get straight down to the personal stuff. I decided to have some fun with it and celebrate the beard...women too. If your husband or boyfriend or brother, or even your grandma has a beard and you are proud of it, then send in your photos."

Fans can submit photos of their beard with the hashtag #GetClearedWithYourBeard to Stapleton's Facebook ( facebook.com/chrisstapletonofficial), Twitter ( @ChrisStapleton) or Instagram ( @CAStapleton).

No word on the deadline.

CD review - Startin' Over Chris Stapleton's "Starting Over" release is one of those rare beauties of an album, where your favorite track may change from day to day. All of 'em are just that great. It is, simply put, Stapleton's best full-length to date. You may love the title track, which puts flesh and bone onto the 'better luck next time' wish. Then again, the spiritual truth contained within the Creedence Clearwater Revival-esque "Devil Always Made Me Think Twice" might also ...
CD review - From A Room: Volume 2 There is no bigger artist in country music today, perhaps even in American music, than Chris Stapleton. His appeal reaches beyond just the commercial country fans for his gritty bluesy approach. 2015's "Traveller" set a high bar, which was met by this year's release of "From A Room: Volume 1," which won Album of the Year in the 51st CMA Awards. Stapleton also garnered the Male Vocalist of the Year for his second time. Now seven months after that release, "From ...
