Bentley jams with Pearl Jam

Tuesday, October 22, 2013 – Dierks Bentley will represent country music while crossing genres on Wednesday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. As part of their week-long celebration for the release of Pearl Jam's 10th studio album, members of Avett Brothers, Soundegarden and Fleet Foxes will precede Bentley's performance alongside Pearl Jam's lead guitarist Mike McCready and The Roots.

"I love that Fallon dedicates a week of his show to iconic bands like Pearl Jam, and I will definitely be there representing as one of their biggest fans myself," said Bentley. "Mike and I have had a chance to collaborate before, but this will be the first time we've played a Pearl Jam song together for TV...really looking forward to it."

Bentley recently released I Hold On as the lead single off his upcoming studio album "Riser."

On the personal front, he lost his father and added to his family, clearly affecting the subject matter of his latest. On the musical front, he traded long-time producer Brett Beavers, producer of every disc except "Up on the Ridge," for Ross Copperman, who has enjoyed more success as a writer, including several previous tracks for Bentley.
