Brooks announced in December 2013 that he would return to touring in 2014. He has been off the concert trail since 2001 saying he would not tour while his daughters were growing up. In November 2013, Brooks released a four-CD set, "Blame It All On My Roots - Five Decades of Influences," four CDs of covers songs.
