Mindy McCready arrested for probation violation

Wednesday, July 25, 2007 – Troubled singer Mindy McCready was arrested Wednesday at the Nashville airport for probation violation.

The arrest for McCready stemmed from her arrest last Saturday in Ft. Myers, Fla., where she allegedly had a fight with her mother, according to police.

McCready was on probation for obtaining the painkiller OxyContin fraudulently at a pharmacy in 2004.

According to a published report, McCready violated probation because she was arrested, did not report those charges to her probation officer immediately and the nature of the new assault charges.

McCready was on the charts in 1996 with 'Guys Do It All the Time" and "Ten Thousand Angels."
