Aldean finds himself "Burnin' It Down"

Monday, July 21, 2014 – Jason Aldean just released a new single today from an upcoming album.

The new single, "Burnin' It Down," was released at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and will be on his upcoming sixth CD, presumably due out later this year. The song clocks in at 3:45 and starts off with keyboards leading the way. The song maintains a mid-tempo pace throughout.

Aldean unveiled the song for the first time ever this past Friday in a stadium show in Cleveland. "I wanted to do something for you guys tonight that we haven't done yet," Aldean said at Cleveland's Progressive Field in a video posted on YouTube. "We've been saving it for you guys this week, because this is our first stadium show of the year. And when I tell you nobody's heard this song, nobody's heard this song."

"Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums," said Aldean in a press release. "I've pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that's pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid back thing with a really cool groove. We played it live for the first time this weekend in Cleveland and Cincy at the stadium gigs, and I'm excited to see how it takes off from here. There are some different things on this new album, and I hope this sets a good tone for what's to come."

CD reviews for Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean's 10th studio album "Georgia "initially seems like yeoman's effort. As the second half of a double album that follows last year's "Macon," the collection boasts 30 songs; 20 are new. It is a more than a respectable length for a single album. The remainder of the effort is padded with live tracks. The obvious question is why so long? In Adean's case, he said he has always leaned toward having more songs than less. Upon a sit down listen you get ...

CD review - 9 Hollywood may be pushing a broadminded agenda where there are more genders than one can even count, but in Jason Aldean's world, there are only two: tough guys, and the women that love them. There's no confusion it's a guy in the "Camouflage Hat," for example. Also, nothing is said or done without also washing it down with alcohol. The opener,"Tattoos and Tequila," breaks it down into tattoos to remember, and tequila to forget. Within its booze for every ...
CD review - Rearview Town If you liked Jason Aldean's three previous number one albums, you'll like "Rearview Town." He sticks to the winning formula that has brought him past success. The 15 tracks are mainly juiced up, muscular numbers with scorching guitar. Ironically, amid the torrid tempos and high volume that dominate the collection, the ballads are the standouts, especially with the duet with the Miranda Lambert on "Drowns The Whiskey." Instead of whiskey drowning a memory, the inverse ...
