Aldean, Bryan top charts

Thursday, August 14, 2014 – Jason Aldean again leads the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week ending Aug. 23 with "Burnin' It Down." Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" reclaimed the top spot on the Country Albums chart.

Brantley Gilbert, last week's chart topper, stood in second on the albums chart with "Just As I Am." Miranda Lambert's "Platinum" held third. Florida Georgia Line was fourth with "Here's to the Good Times" and Eric Church fifth with "The Outsiders."

Micky & The Motorcross debuted at 17 with "Hearts From Above," 2 ahead of "Long in the Tooth," the debut week for Texas songwriter Billy Joe Shaver. Sunny Sweeney debuted at 20 with "Provoked." Shooter Jennings debuted at 23 with an EP tribute to George Jones, "Don't Wait Up (For George)."

On the songs chart, Florida Georgia Line was second with "Dirt," Kenny Chesney third with "American Kids," Dierks Bentley fourth with "Drunk on A Plane" and "Bartender" by Lady Antebellum.

Tim McGraw was seventh with "Meanwhile Back At Mama's," up 4. Luke Bryan was 11th with "Roller Coaster," up 4. Cole Swindell also climbed 4 with "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight," up 4. Brantley Gilbert's "Small Town Throwdown" featuring Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett was at 16, up 5. Little Big Town's "Day Drinking' stood at 18, up 5. Erich Church took "Cold One" to 21, up 5.

Nickel Creek stood at the top of the Bluegrass Albums chart with "A Dotted Line." Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell was second with "Live." Martin and Brickell held third with "Love Has Come For You." Alan Jackson held onto fourth with "The Bluegrass Album." Steep Canyon Rangers were fifth with "Tell the Ones I Love."

On the overall top 200, Bryan was 12th,Gilbert 14th, Lambert 16th, Florida Georgia Line 25th and Church 33th.
