Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Ralph Emery elected to Country Music Hall of Fame
Tuesday, August 7, 2007 – Vince Gill, Mel Tillis and Ralph Emery were named to enter the Country Music Hall of Fame Tuesday.
Gill has enjoyed a long musical career, first gaining prominence with Pure Prairie League before launching a solo career.
Tillis has enjoyed a long singing career and recently was picked to join the Grand Ole Opry.
Emery has been known as a television personality with interview shows about country music. He also has written books about his life in country.
They will join the hall, which will have 101 members with their entrance, later this year.
