Adkins signs with Broken Bow

Monday, April 6, 2015 – Trace Adkins has a new label - Broken Bow.

Adkins, who most recently was with Show Dog-Universal Music after spending most of his career at Capitol Nashville, will release a new disc later this year, it was announced Monday.

"Trace Adkins has built a career and a legacy doing things his own way, never bowing to trends or society," said Benny Brown, President/ CEO of the BBR Music Group, which includes Jason Aldean.

"He's a straight shooter whose philosophy aligns with BBR Music Group's independent, hands on approach. The music is what matters at BBR Music Group, and that's a viewpoint we share with Trace. We're excited to welcome Trace to the BBR Music Group family and look forward to collaborating on new, amazing music."

Adkins said, "When you've been doing this as long as I have, you don't always get the feeling that the sky's the limit. I feel that way right now. When I sign up for something, I go all-in. Since Benny, Jon and I shook hands and said 'let's do this thing,' we've been all-in together."

Adkins currently is recording his 13th studio album with producer Mickey Jack Cones (Joe Nichols, Randy Houser).

CD review - Ain't That Kind of Cowboy Anybody with staying power in the modern country music landscape must have found a four-leaf clover and a niche. CD review - Something's Going On Trace Adkins' wonderful low singing voice can be a little deceptive because he could easily sing utter crap and still somehow sound great. It's why the critical ear must pay close attention to specifically what he's saying in his songs whenever evaluating his work. Adkins doesn't write his own songs, so he's entirely dependent upon stellar writers. Thankfully, "Something's Going On" is a better than average collection of songs, especially good for Adkins, as ...
CD review - Live Country DVD "Live Country" is a concert film featuring Trace Adkins performing his biggest hits at The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y. Anticipation was high for this one because Adkins, along with Josh Turner, is one of our very best low-voiced singers. Perhaps poor audio quality is to blame, but Adkins' singing isn't nearly as powerful in this live setting as it is on CD. From the cheesy stage props to the casually dressed backing singers (one even has a headband that leaves her looking ...
