Bush seeks to "Light" up charts
Wednesday, May 27, 2015 – Kristian Bush's hopes to light up the charts with the second single from his recent album.
"Light Me Up" goes for ads on June 11 and is the follow-up single to "Trailer Hitch."
"For the first time in my country music career, I am getting to sing a love song directly to you," said Bush, one-half of Sugarland. "I've spent the better part of 12 years being aware that the songs I wrote were going to be delivered by a woman, and there are certain things I wanted to say as a man that didn't quite fit in that context. 'Light Me Up' is about how I feel when I am loved. When you are loved by someone, it changes you forever. I decided to write a song to celebrate that."
Co-written with Jesse Rice ("Cruise"), "Light Me Up" is from Bush's solo debut, "Southern Gravity."
