Lady A's Kelly will become a dad

Friday, August 7, 2015 – Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelly and his wife said today they are no longer going to be a duo. They announced that they are having a child due in February.

Cassie Kelly said on her web site, Womanista today, "Charles and I are SO BEYOND EXCITED to share with y'all that we are expecting a baby! He or she is due in February and we are so happy we can hardly stand it. Like, ecstatic and I'm crying even as I type those words!"

"This journey to become a family of 3 has been a long, interesting, sometimes fun and sometimes heartbreaking road - a journey that I want to share here at Womanista because I know there are a lot of women out there who have walked the road of a fertility struggle and we can all grow, heal, and understand each other better through our shared experience."

"We started trying to conceive our child a few years ago without any luck - many months went by with negative pregnancy tests and a lot of shared frustration."

Kelly will be the last member of Lady A to become a parent as his band mates Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood are already parents.

CD review - Heart Break Lady Antebellum may cause you to throw out many of your country music principles. They don't sing and play traditional country music, for starters. They're not cool like more rocking Americana artists. In fact, they're huge mainstream country stars. So, why are some of us still suckers for their sound? And why does the new "Heart Break" sound so good on the ears? Well, it's simple, but complicated. Hillary Scott is simply a wonderfully sincere singer. ...

CD review - 747 Six albums into its career, Lady Antebellum pretty much has the formula down pat. Either Hillary Scott or long and lanky Charles Kelley assumes lead vocals with Dave Haywood also providing vocals plus guitars and mandolin in a bunch of songs easy on the ears with a story often involving a lust for love. The typical song ("Lie With Me," for example) starts with Kelly or Scott taking a stanza, followed by the other with both then tackling the chorus together. This has worked quite well ...
