Dolly movie coming Dec. 10
Tuesday, August 18, 2015 – NBC has announced that its upcoming holiday film "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors" will air Thursday, Dec. 10 from 9-11 p.m.eastern/Pacific.
The movie, which includes Jennifer Nettles as Parton's mother, is based on the true story of Parton's upbringing. The film is set in the Tennessee Great Smokey Mountains in 1955. The movie is a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family's life around the time she was nine years old.
Filming beings this week in Atlanta.
