McCreery releases new single
Wednesday, August 19, 2015 – Scotty McCreery released the lead single from his fourth album this week.
"Southern Belle" was released digitally on Monday and will go for adds at radio on Aug. 31.The song was written by Jason Saenz and Sean McConnell and produced by Frank Rogers.
McCreery, who is a student at North Carolina State University, debuted with "Clear As Day" in 2011, released "Christmas with Scotty McCreery" the following year and "See You Tonight" in 2013.
His fourth release is not slated to be out until 2016.

Scotty McCreery is somewhat of a guilty pleasure. American Idol winners are supposed to sell albums, lots of them. With three with three number ones on his resume, McCreery has certainly done his job well. But commercial success sometimes has its burdens. With an unabashed contemporary bent, aw shucks demeanor and flannel shirt, he was portrayed as a caricature of the genre on an SNL spoof
2013s "See You Tonight" was designed to market him as a more mature artist and to buck the stereotype. ...
