Morris debuts in fifth

Sunday, June 12, 2016 – Maren Morris is fifth on the overall Billboard Top 200 chart with her debut disc, "Hero."

The release, which follows last year's EP, will top the country album chart when it is officially released on Tuesday.. The release moved 45,000 units, including 37,000 in album sales. The rest was track equivalent streaming and song sales.

Dan + Shay debuted at number 8 on the top 200 chart with "Obsessed." The duo's second release registered 33,000 units, 26,000 in album sales. Blake Shelton was ninth, down four, with "If I'm Honest," with 33,000 units.

Although, thankfully, there isn't anything that mind-numbingly beat-driven on her "GIRL" album, this is a full-length that will likely appeal as much to Morris' pop fans, as her country followers.
