Carrie Underwood video premieres Thursday

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 – Carrie Underwood's first video from her highly anticipated second album will debut Thursday again and again and again on CMT as part of "Carrie Music Television" with the video for "So Small" repeated from 6 a.m.-noon.

The event coincides with the music video's world premiere for purchase at the iTunes Store, which will be the exclusive source to purchase the video throughout its debut week.

This marks the first time CMT has done this with the video running an estimated 66 times within the 6-hour span. That same morning, CMT.com will host the exclusive online stream of "So Small."

The video was directed by Roman White, who won a CMT Music Award for another Underwood video, "Before He Cheats." This marks the fifth collaboration between Underwood and White.

"So Small," written by Underwood, Luke Laird, and Hillary Lindsey, broke records earlier this month when it earned the highest first-week sales of any country airplay single in digital history. The song also debuted on the Billboard/R&R country airplay chart last month as the highest entry by a solo country female artist in Nielsen BDS history.

Underwood's new 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville album, Carnival Ride, will be released Oct. 23.

CD review - My Savior Carrie Underwood's gospel music album may not be traditional in the sense that she sings these songs the same way she heard them as a child growing up. However, on the traditional/modern country music spectrum, this album leans closer to traditional country music than just about anything Underwood's recorded. Underwood always sings well, no matter how her songs are arranged, but it's a true treat to hear that voice without much of the big production that usually accompanies it. ...
CD review - My Gift It makes logical sense that Carrie Underwood, arguably mainstream country music's best pure vocalist, would make a Christmas album. And make no mistake about it, this is a 'Christmas' album, as opposed to a 'holiday' release. These 11 tracks are nearly all spiritual in nature. Therefore, you won't hear about Santa, reindeer or even toys under the tree. The only truly secular track is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," which is not – by a long ...
CD review - Cry Pretty Carrie Underwood's life was reading straight from the storybooks: one of the few American Idol Winners with ongoing success; a professional athlete for a husband; a beautiful baby boy. The string of great fortune turned sharply in 2017, when Underwood began the unfathomable experience of three consecutive lost pregnancies. This was atop a frightening fall at her home that ended with her face in nearly 50 stitches. Sharing these moments with her fans makes the beamingly-beautiful singer ...
