Aldean returns to Vegas

Monday, October 9, 2017 – Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, visited Las Vegas, the scene of last week's shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of 59 people during Aldean's concert, on Sunday along with hospital visits to those injured.

"Feels surreal being back in Vegas today," Brittany Aldean posted on Instagram. "Visiting some of the strongest people we have ever met... fighting the toughest battle of them all... for their lives. You have helped us try to begin the healing process by seeing the strength each one of you have. Thank you for today. We will never forget. #vegasstrong."

Aldean was closing out the Route 91 Harvest Festival when Stephen Paddock allegedly fired hundreds of rounds from the Mandalay Bay hotel, killing 58 and wounding more than 500 people. He later killed himself before police arrived. No motive has surfaced for the shooting spree.

Jason Aldean made a surprise appearance at the outset of Saturday Night Live, making a statement about the shootings before also paying homage to the late Tom Petty with "Won't Back Down."
