Country Rising benefit extends to Vegas victims

Sunday, October 15, 2017 – The star-laced Country Rising concert will now support victims of the Las Vegas shooting in addition to those in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and additional Caribbean islands who have been impacted by the recent hurricanes.

Keith Urban is the latest to add his name to the bill for the Nov. 12 concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, George Strait and Carrie Underwood are all on the bill.

Due to a scheduling conflict with additional tour dates being added in Spokane, Wash., Garth Brooks will no longer be part of the event in Nashville and will instead donate all proceeds from his two added concerts on Nov. 12 to The Country Rising Fund.

Fuse CD review - Fuse
Keith Urban will keep his superstar status intact with the lengthy "Fuse." The upbeat, commercial- and fan-friendly music and singing from Urban will ensure that. This is pretty much vintage Urban. That means Urban's not very high on the country quotient. What sounds like a guitar on the rocking Good Thing and the somewhat swampy Red Camaro, for example, is Mike Elizondo's programming. Yes, there's gango (six-stringed banjo with guitar neck) sprinkled in many songs, but »»»
