Carrie Underwood plans to play New York

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 – Carrie Underwood will celebrate the release of her second album, "Carnival Ride," with an Oct. 23 release-date performance as part of Good Morning America's 2007 Fall Concert Series in Times Square.

Underwood's first single, "So Small," has gone top 10.

With three nominations for this year's Country Music Association Awards (including Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year for "Before He Cheats"), Underwood was recently announced to perform on the 2007 telecast, airing Nov. 7 on ABC Television.

Underwood's "Some Hearts" remains the best-selling country album of 2007, with SoundScan sales of nearly 1.3 million copies this year
